That was Rama

X is my name
Enlightenment's my game
And the one man I met
Who was truly sane
Was Rama.

He told the truth
And he told it clear
Even if it was something
I didn't want to hear.
That was Rama.

The man had a heart
That was plain to see
He loved far more deeply
Than you know, you or me
That was Rama.

He made me laugh hard
And he gave me insight
He said "do your life better,
succeed, take flight."
That was Rama.

I found inner peace
And I learned to be me
The man showed me miracles
People pray just to see
That was Rama.

He looked like an angel
But he knew how to deal
This guy was no lightweight
He was for real.
That was Rama.

He shone gold with light
But in the end
He'd talk like my buddy
He was my best friend.
That was Rama.

He never stopped caring
Though at times I would 'dis him
And now that he's gone
I truly do miss him.
That was Rama.
