Life As A Monk

Many years ago, I woke up in the middle of the night, the stars were shining brightly and the moon was inviting me for a walk. I washed up, threw on some clothes and went outside to chat with the moon.

The moon was literally speaking to me and opening my mind to alternate realities. It made me see that life has much more to offer. An enlightened being standing on the top of the moon smiled and waved; as the sun was waking up and the moon was going to sleep.

Before I knew it, I awoke, feeling like a new person with endless possibilities. I decided to sit and ponder, as to what I should do. Then I heard a voice say – find enlightenment. So, the search began, visiting spiritual spots and meeting all types of people. Realizing I still didn’t find what I was searching for – I decided to pray and meditate. Through my prayers and meditations, I was directed to a Kung Fu studio, where I met an angel, whose purpose was to guide me to enlightenment.

The angel knew her task and escorted me as directed to enlightenment, (Rama). Upon meeting Rama, I quickly realized it was the same enlightened being from the moon and in my dreams. Rama smiled at me and wished me well on my journey. Rama opened my mind and heart, so that I may see and feel happiness and love.

Through the years, my life has evolved from going nowhere to a path toward enlightenment. With Rama directing me, I can’t get lost. As I look in the mirror – I see a monk (myself), searching for enlightenment.

As the years go by, the monk in the mirror (me) looks happier every day, for I know that as life progresses I am getting closer to Rama. I am seeing brighter lights everywhere I look. Life is sharing its beauty and clearing the path for my journey. As I prepare to sleep, I realize that my time in this reality is coming to an end. I organize everything and make sure everything is in its right place, for the last time.

I proceed to lie down, go to sleep, and wake up in another reality. As I am sleeping; I hear a voice and the voice says, come join me; you’ve completed your task.

I, with tears in my eyes, walk over to the enlightened being, Rama. Rama smiles and says – time for some real fun. We jump into his little black Porsche, he tells me to close my eyes for a moment. As I begin to open my eyes, I see my little buddy Shakti (Westie Terrier) on Rama’s lap. Shakti immediately jumps on me and starts kissing me.

Rama said, “Ken, your life as a monk has guided you back to me. Shakti will be Amrita’s angel and guide her and her two dogs, Bodhi and Surya, back as well. For now, let me show you what this Porsche can really do – it will definitely take us into another reality.”

Rama hits the pedal and off we fly, the three of us; like a beam of light.

Thank you Rama!
